Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

I could not apply on your website, what gives?

There is no problem with our website; however, our website REQUIRES that applications be in the format of .pdf or word .doc (for resumes) and .jpg (for passport picture pages). If you are trying to apply with a passport in .tif format or submitting your resume in word perfect .wpd format, your resume and application will be rejected by our system. Our systems do not have the capability to process this documentation so bypassing this system and emailing them directly to someone at DAV-Force actually slows down the process of you being considered for a job. Applicants who successfully submit their resume in our online system are typically the first personnel who are called.

Why do I have to provide my passport?

To prevent hiring illegal workers, employers in the United States are required to file an I-9 form for every new employee. It asks whether or not the person is "allowed to work" in the US. While DAV-Force employees typically don't work in the US, DAV-Force is still an American company. Because of this, we are required to abide by American laws when hiring employees. If an employer asks you for proof, which he is supposed to do, and you are a US citizen, the passport is indeed the ideal document for that. If you don't have a passport, you can also show your birth certificate plus a state-issued ID and you will also have to show your SS card. To prevent identity theft and because we only hire personnel for positions outside of the United States, we ask that you submit a copy of your passport page instead of your social security card.

While asking for this type of document can seem alarming to typical Americans, this is quite customary to nationals of other countries, to provide a copy of their passport in order to work in another country.

In short, asking for a copy of your passport page confirms your identity, your ability to work for DAV-Force, doesn't risk identity theft of your social security number, as well as, confirms your ability to have passport in hand to travel overseas. Finally, it also allows us to expedite the badging process when you do receive an offer letter. Often times personnel are traveling overseas and the time it takes is 3 (sometimes more) valuable days of time your badge could be in process. With your in processing documents and passport page, we are able to expedite that process for you.
One last note, if you do not feel comfortable submitting a copy of your passport page, you do not have to at all; however, your application will not be submitted without the necessary documents and you will not be considered for employment with DAV-Force. When you apply online and we ask for a copy of your passport page, you are volunteering this information to apply for open positions we have available.

I don't have a passport; Can I still apply?

At this time DAV-Force's database only accepts completed applications with resume and passport pages attached. Without a passport, you would be unable to apply for a position.

The positions that we currently are awarded and asked to fill are all overseas, which means you would need a passport to work for DAV-Force.

Please do not send your resume directly to the Human Resources Team via email if you have not applied on the website.
